Is this the optics-ready version?
Yes. This model includes the flat-top slide that is milled from the factory to accept popular micro red dot sights. You will need to purchase the specific adapter plate for your optic from Smith & Wesson or a third-party manufacturer.
What magazines does it use?
It ships with two 15-round magazines. It is also compatible with most full-size M&P 9mm magazines (17-round and higher), though they will extend past the grip.
