The Mossberg Patriot Super Bantam Youth is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Win with a 20-inch barrel and a recessed crown. It weighs 6.5 pounds, measures 38.5 inches overall and feeds from a detachable 5+1 box magazine. The rifle comes with one magazine and a 3-9x40 scope, and its trigger adjusts from 2 to 7 pounds. The scope is included, so the owner does not need a separate optic to start shooting.

The Super Bantam stock is sized for smaller shooters, with a 12 to 14-inch length of pull. A youth hunter planning for Montana's deer and elk seasons, which run from archery in September into late November, gets a rifle sized for a smaller frame. The included scope and adjustable trigger mean the rifle is ready to use once it is sighted in.
