The Winchester SXP Extreme Defender is a 12 gauge pump-action shotgun with an 18-inch barrel, a 3-inch chamber and a 5+1 capacity. It has an FDE/Tan finish, ghost ring sights and a heat shield on the barrel. The synthetic stock adjusts from 13 3/4 to 14 3/4 inches in length of pull. It weighs 7 pounds, measures 38 inches overall and has a crossbolt manual safety.

A Montana owner who wants a shotgun for home or range use gets an 18-inch barrel and an adjustable fit that can be tailored to the shooter. The supplier positions it for defensive and range use, and the ghost ring sights give a quick aiming picture. The Door Breacher choke tube comes with the gun, so the configuration includes that tube.
