The American Tactical GSG 1911 is a full-size 1911-style pistol chambered in .22 LR. It has a threaded 5-inch barrel, single-action operation and a 10+1 capacity. Its wood grips, 3-dot sights, manual thumb safety and grip safety follow the 1911 layout. It weighs 34.4 ounces and measures 8.5 inches overall, and the item is listed as new.

A Montana shooter who wants a 1911 layout for training and plinking gets the familiar controls in a .22 LR format for range practice. The threaded barrel accepts compatible muzzle accessories, and the 10+1 capacity keeps the session going without a reload. Montana adds nothing to the federal process, so the handgun transfer runs through a licensed dealer's Form 4473 and background check.
